A successful weekend of ACT caching with Hecta, Kit Kat & Company netted Tennis and Trees, Suburban Legacy, Pole-position, Geocache, Vernon’s View, Isaacs Incline and Find Michael Herbert. Thanks heaps to Kit Kat & Company for putting up with us.

I am starting to get tired of worrying about my e-mail. I think I will just ignore it. If you e-mailed me and wondered why I didn't reply, maybe I didn't get the e-mail, or maybe I just ignored you. Anyway, I'm planning to hit some ACT geocaches this week to take my mind off e-mail. D'oh! I was going to ignore it!

I thought I'd send myself a couple of test e-mails this morning in the vain hope that maybe someone would have fixed my e-mail overnight. I received none of the e-mails. :-(

Still no advancement on the e-mail front. It has been sick for a week now.

Aparrently my e-mail is still working only intermittently. The e-mails that it swallows don't generate a bounce message. Nice.

Ugh. 7:00am start today. My GPS confirms that sunrise was at 6:59am, which means it is pretty much totally dark by the time I get on the train to come in to work. While I would rather be asleep at 5:30am, the city is quite different that early. It is so quiet, and it was such a clear day. It's kind of fun to do it once in a while.

Dont' have time to care what is happening in Australian politics? Luckily we have John Clarke and Bryan Dawe on Thursday nights' 7:30 Report to filter it for us. The web site also has a transcript. I thought last night's installment was particularly good.
Hmm. I got to work at 8:00 today to baby sit some database work (well OK I was late) only to find out that they are not going to do it until later. Then I find out that people are continuing to get upset about non-work-related web pages I have at work (some photos & stuff). I think it's time to bow out of the photos-are-a-security-risk debate. Work is only for work. I think I am going to be grumpy today.

Sydney had another big "dump" of fog today. The "Sydney Bay" webcam on the ANA hotel gives you a great view.

I read an article on Wired about Fotolog.net. You can basically create a photo-documented weblog (if that makes any sense at all). The site is quite interesting, so take a look.

This weekend saw a visit to Tamworth. Now that we have found most of the caches within driving distance of Tamworth, it was time to place a couple more caches. Our new caches are Raise the Standard and Vanilla Custard. We managed to check up on one of our other caches, Yee-Ha! Gui-tar!, and it was still in place and doing fine.

Twincities.com are running a story about a crackdown on geocaching. The story the link to particularly deals with leaving caches in US national parks. I guess it's worth remembering the guidelines for where to place caches and what to put in them. Remember, Cache In, Trash Out.

It seems that Cadbury's web site is still not admitting to the inferior Strawberry Ripe. They still only list it's finer tasting companion the Cherry Ripe.

I am still waiting for the information I need for my project, so I am still bored. The problem now is that the guy that works for me has also run out of things to do.

A weekend's geocaching failed to net Bridge to nowhere, but we did find #5 Urban Oasis. After dinner with a friend at The Little Snail (a French restaurant at Darling Harbour that I recommend) we also found Harbourside.
